Type 8712-Gas Mass Flow Controller (MFC)

Type description

The Model 8712 Mass Flow Controller (MFC) is suitable for mass flow control of gases over a wide flow range. Thermal MEMS sensors located directly in the air stream enable extremely high-speed response. A direct-acting Bürkert proportional valve is used as an actuator to ensure good response sensitivity. The integrated PI controller gives the MFC excellent control characteristics. The Model 8712 can be calibrated for two different gases, and the user can switch between the two. As an electrical interface, both analog standard signals and fieldbus are provided. The Model 8712 mass flow controller is suitable for a variety of applications such as burner control, heat treatment, material coating, bioreactors, fuel cell technology, or test benches. With good IP protection, this mass flow controller is especially suitable for applications in harsh environments.
